Rathlin Resident Fares
Rathlin Island residents are offered discounted fares when they travel with a valid resident's pass and a valid ticket.
Kintra II
The fast passenger only ferry Kintra II takes approximately 30 minutes and departs from pier 1 on Rathlin. Please note that for safety reasons we cannnot accommodate luggage on Kintra II.
Spirit of Rathlin
The larger vehicle and passenger ferry Spirit of Rathlin takes approximately 40 minutes and departs from pier 2 on Rathlin. Spirit of Rathlin can accommodate 2 wheelchairs, 10 bicycles, and larger items of luggage.
Important Information
All sailings are at Skipper’s discretion, subject to weather and other conditions.
If you have booked online please go straight to the boat to board.
Bookings can be made up to the day of travel provided there is availability and the booking is made at least 30 minutes before departure.
Vehicle capacity available, restrictions apply. In accordance with Causeway Coast & Glens Council regulations vehicles are not permitted on the island unless you meet one of the following criteria:
- Carrying out prearranged work on the island.
- Registered disabled (blue badge must be shown).
- Staying 6 or more nights and have a valid vehicle permit available from Rathlin Ferry Limited.
Please note that many of the island facilities and businesses are seasonal only. (Information available at rathlincommunity.org). The health and safety of our crew, Rathlin residents, workers and visitors will be priority so please respect any measures put in place by Rathlin Ferry to protect each other
